IQ: How did you guys started making music?

TC: We started off as neighborhood friends that use to freestyle together have fun with the thing we all shared the same love for “Hip Hop”.. From there we were creating songs out of our home studios, doing local show cases and smashing talent shows etc. From that, we relized we had something special. The rest is history.

IQ: What were some musical influences growing up?

TC: So many to name them all. Anywhere from the whole Native Tongue camp to Ice Cube. From Prince and Michael Jackson to Public Enemy and Dead Prez. But the best influence and inspiration was life itself and the people we deal with daily.

IQ: If you could set up the perfect show with any 4 artist in the world who would you pick?

TC: Hmm. Quest Love on the Drums, Prince on the Keys Len Hub on the Bass with TC on the Mic on one set! LOL. I mean in reality Tribe, The Roots, Black Milk and Badu would be one of the best shows to be a part of.

IQ: What message is your music trying to send to fans?

TC: Just that real life music, The truth (as in literally being honest), Bangers, and Timless(nes)..

IQ: Where do you hope to see your career in 5 years?

TC: Lord willing- Healthy, Making Great Music, Cirrcumnavigating the globe blessing every stop with that live sh*t. We want to continue connecting with like minded builders and having fun.

IQ: What most recent project do you have out?

TC: We have some work for yall. Check out FWMJ Rappers I know Featuring J Bizness and Those Chosen “3p”. Its a 3 song Ep available for no cost. Just go to: thosechosen.bandcamp.com and get that. We have a single entitled “Just When I say” to hit Itunes late December/early January in conjunction with our international campaign I Am Manute Bol.. A whole lot of Goodies!

IQ: Biggest accomplishment to date?

TC: Being able to transcend our vision and our work to our fans through both conventional and non conventional means. We had a chance to Rocksteady on MTV2 and get a very favorable review on URB.com for our digital release of an EP entitled “5ive” as well as being listed as one of URB’S 25 Now “artist to watch”.

IQ: What do you think of the west-coast music scene and it’s opportunities for independent hip-hop artist?
